Shari's Story
I Know What It Feels Like to Lose Yourself
If you feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and unsure who you are anymore, you’re not alone.
For years, I was the one holding everything together.
Managing moves.
Juggling career changes.
Keeping my family together.
I spent two decades supporting my husband’s military career while raising our family and navigating constant transitions.
From the outside, everything looked just fine.
But inside, something had quietly shifted — my energy, my body, and the way I felt in my life.
I was exhausted.
Disconnected from myself.
And somewhere along the way, I stopped recognizing myself in the mirror.
The Moment That Changed Everything
It happened at my husband’s Navy retirement ceremony.Â
After twenty years of service, he stood in front of a room filled with colleagues, friends, and family as they honored his career and our family’s years of supporting the mission.
Then he walked over and placed the folded American flag into my hands.
He looked at me and said quietly,
"I love you. And now it’s your turn."
In that moment, something inside me finally exhaled.
It felt like the first deep breath I had taken in years.
For so long, I had been focused on everyone else’s path forward — their schedules, their needs, their next chapter.
Standing there, holding that flag, I realized something I hadn’t allowed myself to see.
My next chapter mattered too.
That moment became the beginning of my journey back to myself.
Searching For A Way Forward
I began searching for answers.
How to prioritize myself without guilt.
How to create a life that felt meaningful again.
How to care for my body and well-being in this stage of life.
Working with a health and wellness coach changed everything.
For the first time, I experienced what it felt like to be supported, heard, and guided through real change.
That experience eventually led me to become a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach.
What began as my own search for answers became something more.
Today, my work is centered on helping women take their turn by reclaiming their energy and purpose through rhythms of rest, nourishment, and joy.
And at the heart of that mission is supporting midlife women as they learn to understand their changing bodies, rebuild their energy, and reconnect with themselves again.
The C.A.L.M. Method™Â
Â
When I began coaching midlife women, I noticed a pattern.
What used to work no longer did—but they kept pushing harder.
Midlife doesn’t require more pressure.
It requires a different approach.
That’s why I developed the C.A.L.M. Method™—a simple 4-step framework for midlife wellness that helps you understand your body, recognize patterns affecting your energy, and build a steady way of living that fits real life.
This method also became the foundation of my book, It’s Your Turn.
C – Clarity:  Get clear on who you are and what matters now
A – Awareness:  Recognize the patterns shaping your energy and choices
L – Learning:  Listen to your body and build supportive habits
M – Mindset: Strengthen thoughts that help you move forward with confidence
This isn’t about doing more.
It’s about doing things differently—with support, structure, and self-trust.
Helping Audiences Take Their Turn
In addition to coaching midlife women, I bring this work into organizations and events through keynote talks and workshops.
I speak to women’s groups, professional organizations, and mixed audiences—helping people understand why exhaustion happens and recognize the patterns that quietly drain their energy.
Through these conversations, I guide audiences to see more clearly, choose more intentionally, and build sustainable rhythms of rest, nourishment, and mindset that support how they live and work.
This work is grounded, practical, and designed to give people simple ways to feel more clear, focused, and supported in their daily lives.
